NRA

Times Leader

Dear Editor,

We have been having the right to bear arms discussion for quite sometime, i:e: gun control. The NRA wants us to believe that the country has regressed back to the 17th century, when the country was a frontier nation, a wilderness, requiring self-defense for survival, i:e: no police protection, or military. The situation demanded bearing arms, we are now in the 21st century, which does not require bearing arms for survival.

The registration of guns, could have the same effect as fingerprint identification, in crime solving. If you are a law abiding citizen, why should you fear registration? We are not a nation, in which your privacy is being invaded. The amazing phenomena that, we should require military arms and limitless clip sizes, in a civilized nation is idiotic. When 90 percent, of the people, are in favor of registration and size of clips, and background checks. NRA members, also are 70 percent in favor of these policies.

It is time to break the strange hold of the NRA, at election time, by replacing their cronies in office, regardless of the political party.

Sincerely,

Alfred Tellitocci

Shadyside
