NAGY, Steve W. Sr., 86, of Plainfield Rd., Nagyville, died April 3, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born January 9, 1927 in Crescent, Ohio, son of the late Paul Nagy Sr. and Julia Kovach Nagy.
Steve was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired farmer and dozer operator for Cravat Coal Company. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville where he formerly taught Sunday School; he was a member of the Presbyterian Session; a member of the Farm Bureau; and an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Jr., Ernest, Franklin Joe Nagy; and three sisters, Margaret Albert, Barbara Kanotz and Julia Maine.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary A. Kocsis Nagy; three sons, Steve W. (Crystal) Nagy Jr. and Thomas E. (Julie) Nagy both of Nagyville and David Lee (Marianne) of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Charlotte Kovach and Elizabeth Bodollo; nine grandchildren, Madison, Megan and Hannah Nagy, Eric (Amy) Nagy and Michael Nagy, Lauren (Matt) Graser, McLane, Tessa and Weston Nagy.
Family and Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2-8 p.m.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville with Rev. Laurie Armstrong and Rev. Robert Nagy officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens.
