CARPENTER, Marjorie “Molly” A.

CARPENTER, Marjorie "Molly" A., 96, of Barnesville,, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Barnesville Health Care Center.

She was born in Corry, PA, on September 28, 1916, to the late Asa and Nora (Miller) Allen.

Molly worked as a clerk at Barnesville Hospital and later was a volunteer in the gift shop and a member of their twig. She was an active member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. She was a Past Matron and Past Grand Representative of the OES 206.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Carpenter; son, Paul Carpenter; daughter, Susan Carpenter; and her grandmother who helped to raise her, Ada Miller.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Terry) Carpenter of Barnesville; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Chad) Gazda of Bethesda and Amanda (Greg) Detling of Barnesville; two grandsons, Ben Carpenter and Nathan (Brittany) Carpenter both of Columbus; and five great-grand children, Madison, Karli and Colt Detling and Creighton and Cale Gazda.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.

The service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tom Detling and Pastor Ted Buehle officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Barnesville First United Methodist Church or the Barnesville Hospital.
