Woman not pushed from vehicle

Original statement was false

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Law enforcement official are still investigating an incident from late Monday evening of a woman, originally reported as being thrown from a moving vehicle, along Interstate 70 near the 216 mile marker.

A release from the St. Clairsville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol details that a call came in roughly around 11:15 p.m. Monday night.

Officers responded and found the woman, whose name has yet to be released, along with the driver of the semi truck.

The woman was taken to East Ohio Regional Hospital for treatment.

According to the release, the woman originally stated she was pushed from the vehicle but that her original statement was false and she exited under her own accord.

The incident is still under investigation. However, no charges have been filed as of yet.

This took place near the Ohio 9, St. Clairsville exit on I-70.
