Dear Editor,

Another year has passed and the 19th year for Grand Illusions Saute' at Undo's on the Hill is over and yet I hope and pray our battle against cancer is never over. This year's Saute' roasted Mr. Paul M. Limbert of WesBanco of Wheeling. What a fine time it was. Great food, laughter and fellowship.

Ohio Cancer Research Associates is an independent organization that uses basic seed money for cancer research and awareness. I believe everyone in our Ohio Valley has sometime or somewhere had a family member or friend who has suffered the effects of this horrible disease. All of the folks involved across our entire state are far more than mentors. They are heroes and angels for taking the time and making the effort to do what they do, not just one day of the year, but work constantly togather funds and promote cancer awareness 24/7.

Bill Boggess, the development director, is a saint. Tirelessly he works all year long to make sure the program goes off without a hitch. The chair people, the committee and all the sponsors are the cream of the crop here in the beautiful Ohio Valley and they all should be held in high regard for doing what they do and how they accomplish it. They are TRUE AMERICANS in every sense of the word. The whole evening was a success and all had a great time.

In closing, I know my wife and I and all who know the Sparachane family of Benwood, W. Va. will sure miss their father, Mr. Anthony - UNDO - Sparachane, who passed on to our Father in HEAVEN on April 11.

All of these folks in our great valley, many not mentioned, are the backbone of what makes America what it is to the whole world. Our strength, our dedication and mostly our commitment to God and country.

Thanks and GOD BLESS to all.

Richard Lucas
