Beyah sentenced on trafficking

?Conferences, rescheduling dominates court activity

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Numerous status conferences and rescheduling took place during Friday's session of Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Judge John M. Solovan II presided.

Eban Joseph Beyah, 40, 982 Montford Road, Cleveland Heights, pleaded guilty to two counts trafficking in drugs, less than one gram of heroin and less that five grams of crack cocaine, felonies of the fifth degree. The state recommended community controls. Sentence was set for Aug. 30. A pre-sentence investigation and victim impact statement were ordered.

Danielle Marie Crooks, 29, 68381 Patterson Road, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to one count of theft, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Dec. 1, 2012. Sentence was set for Aug. 30.

A victim impact statement and EOCC evaluation were scheduled. She may stand to pay restitution of close to $80,000 of stolen jewelry.
