TEAMS THAT participated in the Martins Ferry’s Little League turned out at the city park Tuesday. About 350 children were invited. These included nine softball teams, 13 baseball teams and six T-ball teams. All received participatory trophies and took rides on the fire department’s trucks. Police Chief John McFarland said the event had been set for that past Saturday but was delayed due to weather. The swimming pool was open from 5-9 p.m. Inflatable rides were also set up. McFarland added that many have noticed the extensive upgrades to the park. Thanks went to the civics officers and volunteer workers for a successful season. Thanks also went to the sponsors.
