Porn, drug cases lead arraignments

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Arraignments were held in Belmont County Common Pleas Court this past Thursday. Judge Frank Fregiato presided.

David Curtis Crawford, 39, 54129 Powhatan Hill Road, Powhatan Point, pleaded not guilty to four counts of creating child pornography and two counts of voyeurism, occurring Jan. 1, 2013. Status conference was set for Aug. 30, with plea agreement Sept. 27 and trial Oct. 15.

Charges stem from allegations that he secretly recorded individuals and placed the material on his computer. Officers with the Belmont County Sexual Predator Internet Initiative raided Crawford's home in May.

Bond was reduced from $150,000 to $50,000. He faces more than 32 years if convicted. He has been incarcerated since the investigation started.

Orlanna Kay Garloch, 42, 59246 Armstrong-Centerville Road, Jacobsburg, pleaded not guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor greaten than 13 but less than 16, a felony of the third degree occurring Oct. 1, 2012. Pre-trial was set for Sept. 16, with plea agreement Oct. 15 and trial Oct. 24.

Thomas Edward Perkins, 40, 66995 Stein Road, Belmont, pleaded not guilty to sexual battery and gross sexual imposition, felonies of the third degree occurring Feb. 5, 2006. His pre-trial was set for Sept. 16, with plea agreement Oct. 15 and trial Oct. 31.

Lloyd G. Douglas, 30, 5705 Quimby, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree occurring May 12, 2012.

Status conference was set for Sept. 13, plea agreement deadline for Sept. 27, and trial Oct. 8. Bond was set at $2,500.

Ryan Donald Anderson, 34, 137 E. South St., Barnesville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft, one count possession of drugs, and one count forgery, felonies of the fifth degree, and one count receiving stolen property and one count misuse of credit cards, felonies of the fourth degree. All occurred in May and June of 2013. Pre-trial was set for Aug. 19, with plea agreement Sept. 3 and trial Sept. 24.

Cody Lee Stirewalt, 20, 408 Park St., Barnesville, pleaded not guilty to one count theft, a felony of the fourth degree occurring July 8, 2013. Pre-trial was set for Aug. 19, with plea agreement Sept. 16 and trial Sept. 26.

Patrick James Allen, 21, 735 Broadway St., Martins Ferry, pleaded not guilty to four counts trafficking in drugs a felony of the fourth degree occurring June 18, 2013. Status conference was set for Sept. 13, with plea agreement Oct. 11 and trial Oct. 22. A recognizance bond was set.

Roger A. Runner, 47, 507 Clinton St., Martins Ferry, pleaded not guilty to illegal assembly and possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a felony of the third degree, and possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Both occurred June 6, 2013. His pre-trial was set for Aug. 19, with plea agreement Aug. 23 and trial Aug. 27.

Cynthia A. McCormick, 53, 61076 Rose Hill Road, Salesville, pleaded not guilty to theft, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Jan. 11, 2013.

A status conference was set for Sept. 13, with plea agreement Oct. 11 and trial Oct. 24.
