STEWART, Rolland Altman Jr., 71, of Cross Lanes, WV, went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2013.
He was born in Wheeling, WV, to Rolland and Leona Stewart of Flushing, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and also his sisters, Blanch Cassells and Rosalind Mattox.
Rolland graduated from Flushing High School in 1960. He spent 14 years with Hillandale Farms in Flushing before joining United Parcel Service in Wheeling, WV in in 1974. Rolland gave 25 dedicated years of service to UPS, working in a variety of positions and multiple locations, before retiring in 1999, in Charleston, WV. He attended the Christ Life Fellowship in South Charleston.
Rolland was a devoted husband and father, and was survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sue; his children, Shawn Stewart and wife Tiffany of St Petersburg, FL; Yvonne Hocker of Bellaire, OH; Dawn Stewart of Martins Ferry, OH; Heather Dokes and husband, Danny of Martins Ferry, OH; Angie Stewart of St. Petersburg, FL; Todd Dillon of Culpeper, VA: his sister, Florence Stewart of Cleveland, OH; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rolland will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A service to Honor the Life of Rolland will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston with Pastor Joe Lucas officiating.
Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 1.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the committal service on Sunday at the cemetery.
