September 16, 2013
By ROBERT A. DEFRANK - Staff Writer , Times Leader

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Amy Roberts has the support of a community in her fight with cancer.

She was diagnosed one year ago with Amyoloidos, a blood disease effecting the blood protein, heart, kidneys and stomach. She is currently on dialysis in Steubenville three times per week and is in need of a heart transplant. While the Amyoloidos is in remission, the damage to her organs is non-reversible.

Roberts is a member and past president of the St. Clairsville Rotary Club. She served as a St. Clairsville Downtown Revitalization Task Force member, a founding member of the St. Clairsville Farmers Market, and St. Clairsville Holiday Shopping Night. She has been a Belmont County Fair 4-H volunteer, a bank manager at St. Clairsville PNC Bank, and is a mother of two school-age children.
