SJC continues red-hot net play

St. John Central's red-hot volleyball play continued with yet another three-game sweep Thursday evening. The Lady Irish toppled Bishop Donahue, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-22 for the victory.

Jessica Alvey had eight points, two aces, four kills and two blocks. Lindsee Perry added seven points and six kills. Amber Lamotte had eight points and four aces. Lindsey Froehlich added 10 kills and two blocks. Caitlin Sliva added nine kills.

Magnolia sweeps Union Local

At New Martinsville, Lauren Cline led the way with 24 points, 22 assists, 10 digs, six aces and three kills as the Blue Eagles swept a three-set match from the visiting Jets by scores of 25-12, 25-6 and 25-21.

Mallory Chapman checked in with eight points, nine kills, six blocks, six digs and two assists.

River defeats Monroe Central

At Skyvue, Jensen Caretti had 17 kills, 13 points and six blocks to go along with Mackenzie Marshall's nine points and 10 digs as River topped Monroe Central by scores of 25-11, 25-20, 13-25 and 25-15.

Monica Curtis added 28 assists and Abby Caldwell was charted with 10 digs for the Pilots.

Pacing the Seminoles (3-7) attack was Katelyn Dimmerling with nine points, five assists and four aces. Kelsey LaFollette contributed seven points and three aces.

Cameron tops East Richland Christian

At Cameron, Susan Yourko had 13 sets, two points and two aces but it wasn't enough as East Richland Christian fell to Cameron, 25-23 and 25-22.

Rebekah Mitchell notched three aces and four points for East Richland.

Hundred downs East Richland Christian

At Cameron, Alyssa Crowley put together a solid effort with 10 points, five kills, three aces and two blocks as East Richland fell to Hundred, 25-27, 25-20 and 25-12.

Alyssa Blodgett added five points, three kills and two aces.

Barnesville sweeps Beallsville

At Barnesville, the 'Rocks needed just three sets to take care of the visiting Blue Devils by scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-16.

Shasta Roberts led the winners with 14 points, four aces, four kills and three digs. Paige Huntsman added 13 points, six kills, five aces, five assists and three digs. Layna Broomhall chipped in nine points, 14 assists, four digs and two kills. Miranda plumly had 10 kills, four digs and two points. Sydney Ralston added seven points, five kills, two aces and two digs.

Rikki Decker paced Beallsville with five points and three assists. Ella Campbell, Shania Phillips and Morgan Marley all scored four points. Campbell added five kills, five digs and four blocks. Marley added 12 assists, seven digs and four kills.
