Crash victim in serious condition

A BRIDGEPORT man was taken to the Ohio Valley Medical Center by the Bridgeport Emergency Squad following a two-vehicle accident today at 2:37 a.m.

He was later Lifeflighted to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The accident happened on U.S 40, west of the Bridgeport Shopping Plaza.

According to information from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Michael Martin, 49, was driving a 2000 Harley-Davidson, and the second vehicle was a 2011 Mack Truck owned by American Disposal Services of Wheeling.

A patrol spokesperson said the hospital listed Martin as being in serious condition.

Details of the accident were not available and the investigation is continuing.
