Times Leader

One person was critically injured in a rollover crash Friday on Interstate 470 in Belmont County, around 1 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-470 in St. Clairsville. The driver of a silver-colored Acura was critically wounded, and the driver of a sport utility vehicle suffered minor injuries. Both drivers were transported to Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. The SUV was traveling in the right eastbound lane and went left of center, slightly striking the Acura, which was in the left eastbound lane. The impact caused both vehicles to roll over several times. State patrol officials were the first to arrive at the scene. Crews had to cut Acura to free the driver, who was pinned between the car and the ground. A professional reconstruction crew was called in to investigate the crash scene. The area of the crash on of I-470 east was closed to traffic.
