Guilty plea in trafficking case

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Several pleas were heard during Friday's session of Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Judge John M. Solovan II presided.

Debbie A. DeAngelis, 58, 1312 Roosevelt Avenue, Martins Ferry, pleaded guilty to one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth degree occurring March 13, 2013.

A shotgun, a motor vehicle and $297 will be forfeited. Sentence was set for Dec. 6, a pre-sentence investigation and EOCC evaluation were ordered.

Mark Harold Hannahs, 45, incarcerated, saw his trial rescheduled for Nov. 19 with plea agreement set for Nov. 15.

He faces one charge of burglary, one charge of receiving stolen property, and five counts of complicity to other crimes including theft, breaking and entering and safecracking.

He faces a maximum of 11 years.

Jason Bernard Herman, 38, 55551 Bloomingdale Road, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault, a felony of the second degree, and one count discharging a firearm, a felony of the third degree occurring Sept. 9, 2012. Sentence was set for Dec. 6. A pre-sentence investigation and victim impact statement were ordered. He faces a maximum of 11 years.

Cynthia A. McCormick, 53, 61076 Rose Hill Road, Salesville, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Jan. 11, 2013. Sentence was set for Dec. 20.

Christopher Michael Schramm, 401 North Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, pleaded guilty to attempted gross sexual imposition of a child younger than 13, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Aug. 1, 2011. Sentence was set for Dec. 20. A pre-sentence investigation and victim impact statement were ordered. He faces a maximum of 18 months. He will be designated a Tier 2 offender.

Kasey E. Vinson, 35, 116 West South St., Barnesville, was sentenced on one count of obstructing justice, a felony of the fifth degree occurring Nov. 1, 2012. She was given three years of community control sanctions. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served. She will complete 80 hours of community controls.

Warrants were issued for Kori Lin Anderson-Hayslett, 32, 313 High St., Barnesville.
