Several people sustained injuries this afternoon in a head-on collision in Harrison County. The crash happened on Ohio 9 between Jewett and Cadiz.
T roopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the driver of a vehicle was traveling south when it struck a minivan that was traveling north. Three people in the van -- a man, a woman and a juvenile -- were injured. The adults were airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital while the juvenile was transported to Harrison Community Hospital.
The driver of the car was also injured and airlifted to Akron General Medical Center. Troopers said all injuries are considered serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.
The State patrol is investigating the crash.
