ST.?CLAIRSVILLE -- Belmont County Commissioner Ginny Favede has announced that she has decided not to enter the race for the 95th State Representative seat.

Favede, a two term county commissioner, had reportedly been seeing recruitment efforts by some in the party, who wanted her to challenge two-term Marietta Republican State Representative Andy Thompson for the 95th District Seat. Favede gave the possibility a great deal of thought, but has decided against it.

Favede, a Democrat from St. Clairsville currently serves in her second term as a Belmont County Commissioner."Over the past few months, I have been humbled by the number of constituents, local leaders and supporters who have asked me to consider running for state representative. During the same time, I have been working to protect Belmont County seniors, continued job creation and fiscal efficiency of the tax payer's dollars."
