JACKOWSKI, Michael T., 67, of Belmont, OH, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his home.
He was born December 9, 1946 in Canonsburg, PA, a son of the late Michael and Laura Magnani Jackowski.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Ohio River Colliers, a former employee of Sidwell Brothers and drove a mail truck many years ago. He was a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church of Lafferty, OH and proudly served in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966-1967.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy Zediker Jackowski; two daughters, Lisa (Herb) Powell of Bridgeport, OH and Jennifer Jackowski of Belmont; a son, Michael J. Jackowski of Blacklick, OH; two step-sons, Toby Milliken of Lebanon, OH and Roy (Andrea) Milliken of Columbus, OH; one sister Kathleen (Tom) Greenlee of Piedmont, OK; two brothers, Robert (Anna Marie) Jackowski of Richmond, KY and Carl (Gayle) Jackowski of Flushing, OH; a grandson, Jacob Powell; three stepgrandsons, Robert Vincent, Daniel Alexander and Dalton Allen Michael Milliken.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main St., St. Clairsville, OH, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Fr. Chester Pabin officiating. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty.
Full military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
