DUDASH, Pete J. Sr., 86, of Main Street, Rayland, Ohio, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 13, 1927 in Connorsville, Ohio, son of the late George Sr. and Dollie Russell Dudash.
He was a retired employee of the former Belot Block Co. of Tiltonsville, Ohio, a Navy veteran, a Presbyterian by faith and a former Rayland councilman. He also was a member of the Rayland Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine "Jerrie" Leatherman Dudash, on August 21, 2011; and a brother, George Dudash.
Surviving are a son, Pete (Sherry) Dudash of St. Clairsville, Ohio; two daughters, Sharon Sands of Dillonvale, Ohio, and Dianna (Bruce) Pensis of Rayland, Ohio; six grandchildren: Susan, Melissa and Mary Kay Sands, Kerri Dagan, and Michael Paul and Terri Lynn Dudash; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special buddy Jack, the Jack Russell dog.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Pete and celebrate his life from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Lenno officiating. Burial with full military honors will be conducted at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio, by the Dillonvale American Legion.
