OFAT, Ted

OFAT, Ted, of Bellaire, OH (St. Joe), died at his home on Sunday February 16, 2014. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Teresa Ofat, as well as three brothers: Stanley (Ike) Ofat, Pete Pollock and John (Judge) Pollock.

Ted was a World War II veteran, having served in the Air Force. He worked for the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as a clerical worker.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Ofat of Bellaire, OH; a sister, Mary Holub of Stewartsville, OH; and a brother, Edward Ofat of Bellaire, OH. He is also survived by his son, Troy (Brenda) Ofat of Martins Ferry, OH, and his two grandsons, Tanner and Tucker, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, OH, on Wednesday, Feburary 19 from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, February 20 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Garloch officiating. Burial will follow at the Belmont County Memorial Park.
