SENIOR SERVICES of Belmont County has been completely revamped with a new staff and management team.
The new Senior Services has been in existence for more than 40 days. It was in November that the Belmont County Commissioners made the Senior Services its own department.
According to the Senior Services of Belmont County Monthly Publication, 'The Golden Times,' "The department will be a fully devoted service oriented agency, solely working towards advocacy and the promotion of independent, fulfilling lives of the seniors of our great county."
The program came with a new coordinator by the name of David Hacker, a Martins Ferry graduate who will be responsible for the complete oversight of the Senior Services of Belmont County, over 70 staff members and ensuring the needs of the seniors of Belmont County are met.
Among the management team are John Carlier who is the fiscal administrator and oversees medical transportation. Carlier is bring over 35 years of experience in accounting and management to the table.
Martina Burkhart will serve as the Nutrition Program Administrator. Prior to coming to Senior Services, Martina was the owner of VIP Catering Company and has over 35 years of experience in all levels of the food industry with a degree in Culinary Arts.
Barb Ballint will serve as the Program Administrator and will oversee the 10 senior centers as well as homemaking and personal care services.
