The Slope

March 3, 2014
Times Leader

THE SLOPE Creek Reservoir is featured in this aerial view taken years ago. It is listed as a "Bradfield-Davies Air Photo," and the photographer was Bill Davies, now deceased, and Joe Bradfield was the pilot. They also were responsible for photographing other scenes such as Silver Bridge collapse at Point Pleasant in December 1967. The Slope Creek Reservoir now serves not only Barnesville, but also Quaker City, Bethesda and the Switzerland of Ohio Water District. Village Administrator Roger Deal said the water from the reservoir serves residents in four counties. From the Bessie Gatchel Collection.
