BROOKSIDE - Over the last few years, St. Paul Lutheran Church located in Brookside has made a growing commitment to the community, reaching out with love in various ways. The church provides open door fellowship opportunities along with providing events to help members of the community.
A prime example of their fellowship opportunities is their largest event of the summer, the Annual Community Day Craft and Vendor Fair which will be held on May 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as the past Pioneer Day event to help celebrate the history of Bridgeport, and the 125th anniversary of St. Paul's partnership with the community.
This community day fair will be located inside and outside with over 60 spots filled providing a wide variety of items for sale. They also promote non-profit participation with a large variety of foods including a delicious food court and kettle corn.

Compassionate hearts and a growing commitment to not only the community as a whole but to individual members has evolved to include fundraising events on their calendar to help raise money for the victims of last year's deadly fire in Bridgeport, raising money to help provide a wheelchair accessible van for young Kelsi Weaver, and helping to raise money to offset the medical costs of Ed Hanlin as he battled cancer.
St. Paul will once again offer an "Awesome Amazing Grace Day Camp" for children that will run from June 15-20 which will welcome all youth ages 3 through those entering 7th grade. Vibrant camp counselors from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio spend the week giving all those who attend a fun and faith filled experience. Free registration can be found on their website www.brooksidelutherans. com.
Mark your calendars for the annual Fall Food and Craft Festival on Sept. 27. Everyone near and far is welcome to view the calendar of events and join in at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 56381 National Rd., Bridgeport, who seeks to always provide an open door for fellowship and provide help for the community.
