Owner and founder of ProTech Robin Heald, who lives in Martins Ferry and works out of the corporate office in Bridgeville, PA, is thrilled about the new addition and explained that there was a real need for ProTech to open a location in Bridgeport.
"We have a client base established there already," Heald said. "We've been trying to open one up there for a few years, but we just had to get the people in place. There was a real need for service down there."
ProTech specializes in all types of automotive glass, including the replacement of windshields, rear windows, side windows, etc. Every job ProTech completes is covered by a lifetime leakage warranty.
"We do everything from high end Porches to Honda and Smart Cars - whatever," Heald stated. She explained that the company has also seen a lot of work from the oil and gas industry as of late. "We do a lot of flat glass for heavy equipment for the gas and oil industry. They have a lot of trucks on the road that need windshields and back glasses and that, so we see a lot of business from them."
Heald stated that the company usually works on many insurance-related cases, but they will accept non-insurance jobs as well, in addition to providing customers with free estimates.
"We're a preferred provider for most insurance companies. Most of our work is insurance-based, but most of (the cost) depends on the glass," Heald said. "We can usually give (our customers) an estimate over the phone for free, but (the price) really depends on each car."
Additionally, ProTech Auto Glass also offers a free mobile service to its customers. As Heald explained, "We have mobile service for all of the customers, which is free. We'll go to their home or their business (to do the job)."
As far as quality goes, one would be hard pressed to find a better company than ProTech. Two of Heald's partners in the business are Tom Dille and Dale Wauthier, who previously owned Ace Glass in Wheeling. ProTech's level of industry experience is second-to-none in the area. "I opened the business 14 years ago. I've been in the auto glass business myself for about 29 years. All of our technicians are certified by the Auto Glass Safety Council," Heald stated. With ProTech, customers can rest assured that the job will be done correctly and in accordance with industry standards.
"It's a great business," Heald said. "It's nice being able to be in my community. I've met a lot of nice people in Martins Ferry and Bridgeport, and I like having a shop there. The people who work there enjoy it immensely and their participation in the shop has been great."
