ST. CLAIRSVILLE - A good source "Heard It Through The Grapevine" that on Tuesday, May 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. the Silver Sky Duo will be appearing on stage at the St. Clairsville Central Park Amphitheater.
The Silver Sky Duo consists of George Suhon and longtime friend David Stirk. They play their own instruments and sing along with a backing track that George produces exclusively for use with the Silver Sky Duo and set them apart from typical boring sounding karaoke tracks used by many solos and duo groups. George records all of his own backing tracks, this means he plays all the instruments himself, sings all of the backing vocals, and mixes all of the disk in his own studio.
The duo is a high energy dance act that is highly acclaimed in the Western PA., West Virginia and the Ohio Valley area. Both George and David are versatile musicians, guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist. The verity of music is astounding, playing oldies, big band, waltz, cha cha, Sinatra era, old time standards, country rock, swing, doo wop, 50's, 60's and 70's, rock and roll, disco, funk, polkas, Their song repertoire consists of over 500 songs and continues to grow.
The Silver Sky Duo (George Suhon and David Stirk) will perform Tuesday, May 27 at the St. Clairsville Central Park Amphitheater.
Their song repertoire includes songs like A Groovy Kind Of Love, A Picture Of Me Without You, Alcohol, As Good As I Once Was, Brick House, Come Fly With Me, Desperado, Fire and Rain, Friends In Low Places and they also perform material from singers and groups like The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Brooks and Dunn, Allen Jackson, Eagles, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Michael Jackson, Toby Keith, Neil Diamond, Brad Paisley and George Jones. And if you ask they might even throw in a polka or two.
The summer concert series will be held each Tuesday until July 29, with one exception which will be on Wednesday, July 2 - on this night St. Clairsville will be honored with the presence of the United States Air Force Band of Flight. The Tuesday night concerts will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. with the exception of July 15 which will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will be an Arabian Night/ Pryotechnika Performance sponsored by the Zandex Corporation.
All concerts will be held at the stage area at the City's Central Park Complex Amphitheater which is located at 102 Fair Avenue off South Sugar Street. The concerts have free admission however donations are warmly accepted. Handicapped parking is available and concert goes are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to set on.
