ST. CLAIRSVILLE?- Cleveland's famous Blue Lunch Band will be appearing in St. Clairsville at the city's Central Park Amphitheater on June 17 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Blue Lunch is a blues, jump and swing band and consists of Bob Frank, guitarist and vocalist and contributes as a primary song-writer in the band. Bob spent eighteen years as the leader of the Hotfoot Quartet, touring throughout North America and recorded several albums. As a sideman he has worked with Robert Lockwood, Wallace Coleman, fiddler Howard Armstrong, the Falls City Ramblers, British bluesman Long John Baldry. Bob has played many different kinds of music including bluegrass, old-timey, swing, rock, reggae and Caribbean soca. Bob also acts the producer for the band's recordings.
A band couldn't have a better review that Bob Ceilic, of the CloolCleveland.com saying that the guys in Blue Lunch have been playing the blues so long, either individually or as a group, that their live shows almost become a lesson in blues music, showing influences from Chicago, New Orleans, Soul, 50', Rock and Roll, and everything in between.
Everyone is invited to get into the swing of things, have some fun and kick up their heels. Admission is free however donations are warmly accepted. Everyone is asked to please bring their own lawn chair or blankets. No alcoholic beverages permitted. Concessions available along with handicapped parking and restrooms.
