Bridgeport crash

NUMEROUS PIECES of furniture, owned by Wilson Furniture of Bridgeport, were damaged when a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Paul R. Lewis, 52, of 3345 Monroe St., Bellaire, rammed into the tent at 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday. Lewis was taken to East Ohio Regional Hospital by the Bridgeport Emergency Squad. According to the accident report from Bridgeport Police, Lewis was traveling on Ohio 7 south and went over a curb and off the road into the grass. He traveled through the grass and over a culvert. The vehicle then came back over the curb at U.S. 250, crossed U.S. 250 and struck the tent. According to the report, the tent is owned by Bridgeport Equipment and Tool. Damage included bent and broken pieces of structural poles as well as ripped canopy.
