Cancer patients at Wheeling Hospital’s Schiffler Cancer Center will benefit from a $12,600 donation. Domenique Riggle, right, coordinator of the hospital’s Survivorship Program, recently presented a check to Melissa Mealy, the American Cancer Society patient resource navigator at the Schiffler Cancer Center. Through various fundraisers, primarily supported by hospital employees, the Survivorship Program is able to help cancer patients. Such funds are used by Mealy and the other patient navigators to assist cancer patients with financial constraints when addressing transportation costs related to their treatments, prescription co-payments and other needed resources.
