Harveysburg - Ohio Renaissance Festival has been named a Standout in Ohio tourism in the August edition of OhioTraveler.com.
"Call it the king of festivals," said Frank Satullo, The OhioTraveler. "This incredibly entertaining event is a standout in Ohio tourism because it thrills folks of all ages for more than 50 consecutive days every fall for 25 straight years." The festival will run from Aug. 30 to Oct. 19.
Side splitting laughter and jaw dropping reactions are plentiful throughout the 30 acre 16th century village where about 100 shows are featured on 11 stages daily. Sword fighting, full armored jousting and humorous storytelling are only part of the adventure. Period craftsmen, artisans and food peddlers add to the merriment. But it's the amount of folks in full costume and accent that makes this festival come alive. As does the musicians and dancing. Learn more about this great event at www.renfestival.com.
