Holiday music delivered by Twin Kennedy

Twin Kennedy

SISTERSVILLE — ArtsLink presents a special holiday-themed return engagement by Twin Kennedy, who will bring a combination of folk, jazz and Celtic musical genres to the Gaslight Theater at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Sistersville.

Their musical bond is as strong as their small town roots. Twin Kennedy, composed of Canadian West Coast twin sisters Carli and Julie Kennedy, have been making music together since they could talk. Born and raised in the small town of Powell River, British Columbia, Twin Kennedy grew up perfecting their harmonies and dynamic live performances, while making their name known throughout their small community as a family band.

Growing up in a musically infused family, it is no wonder that these sisters crafted their sound through a unique fusion of their background in country, folk, jazz and classical music. With years of classical training, including their bachelors degrees in music performance from the University of Victoria, the sisters have found their home in country music.

With Carli on vocals, guitar and banjo and Julie on vocals, fiddle and bass guitar, these petite powerhouses deliver joy and warmth through their seamless harmonies and heartfelt songwriting.

“We are thrilled to bring back these very talented young ladies to perform for us here, and they are phenomenal,” ArtsLink’s administrative coordinator Donna Earley said. “Those of you who were able to see Twin Kennedy when they were here back in 2021 know what a wonderful show’s to come.”

For ArtsLink members, tickets are $10 for individuals and $20 for families; for non-members, $15 for individuals and $25 for families. Student admission is $5. For more ticket information, please call the office at 304-455-2278 or visit the website at www.artslinkwv.org.
