Meth lab found, one arrested
DEERSVILLE — A man was arrested after a methamphetamine lab was discovered in a Deersville home.
Kyle Parrish, 42, of Ulrichsville was arrested Monday after a search uncovered that methamphetamine was being manufactured inside the residence.
Parrish has been charged with possession and the illegal manufacture of drugs, a felony of the third degree.
Harrison County Sheriff Ronald “Joe” Myers said the investigation began after deputies received a tip that drugs were being manufactured at a Deersville residence — the address was not provided. The search warrant was carried out Monday.
After the lab was found, the LEAD Drug Task Force and Deersville Volunteer Fire Department were notified of the lab and helped to dismantle and neutralize it. LEAD, or Law Enforcement Against Drugs, serves Carroll, Harrison, Holmes and Tuscarawas counties. Member agencies include the Cadiz Police Department,Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Millersburg Police Department, Newcomerstown Police Department, Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office, Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office, Holmes County Prosecutor’s Office and Tuscarawas County Prosecutor’s Office.
Myers said the search of the residence took place without incident. Suspected drugs, as well as methamphetamine laboratory supplies, were seized.
The owner of the home was not arrested. The investigation of people involved with the lab is still ongoing.
