Bellaire Business Alliance announces holiday events
BELLAIRE — The Bellaire Business Alliance’s annual Bellaire Business Dash is underway and will run through Dec. 7.
Shoppers are encouraged to experience Bellaire this holiday season by shopping at locally owned businesses in the village.
Rules for the dash have been revamped in 2024. Shoppers are required to visit 10 of the 20 participating businesses. A minimum $5 purchase is required at retail and food establishments. Service-oriented businesses will distribute pamphlets of their services. All completed dash flyers will be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 cash prize.
Shoppers can pick up a flyer at any of the 20 participating businesses: Vivid Graphix, Bellaire Party Center, Dvorak and Son, Lil’ Gerardo’s, Gulla’s, Myrtle Beach Salon, The Runner’s Connection, The Roosevelt, All-American Family Restaurant, Belmont Savings Bank, Community Coffee & Tea, Denny’s Blue Angel, Dairy Queen, First Settlement Physical Therapy, Hornswogglers, MPR Transloading, The Holistic Cloud, Sons of Italy and WSL Designs. The Ohio Valley Farmers’ Market is participating on Dec. 7 only.
Completed flyers can be dropped off at Lil Gerardo’s, The Runner’s Connection or at the finale of the dash, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Bellaire High School cafeteria on 35th and Guernsey streets during the Ohio Valley Farmers’ Market Winter Market & Craft Show.
The winter market will feature many of the regular OVFM vendors as well as other local crafters. Laura Cramblet will perform throughout the event on her hammered dulcimer.
Santa Claus will be available to greet children from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be a take-and-make craft for kids. Paleanardo’s Food Truck will be set up outside. Applications are still being accepted for vendors.
On Nov. 19, the village will hold its annual tree lighting in Union Park. Bellaire Middle School choir will perform at 6:30 p.m. with the tree lighting at 7 p.m. near the gazebo. Rain date is Nov. 20.
The annual Bellaire Christmas parade will be held Nov. 30. Lineup begins at 5 p.m., and the parade commences at 6:30 p.m.
The Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area remains in effect on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
