State Sen. Brian Chavez, center, is sworn into the Ohio Senate on Monday for his first full term. “I am honored to continue serving the people of Southeast and Eastern Ohio,” said Chavez, R-Marietta. “There is a lot of work to be done and I look forward to working with members of the Ohio General Assembly to keep Ohio a great state to live, work, and raise a family.” Chavez represents the 30th Senate District, which covers Washington, Athens, Belmont, Meigs, Morgan, Monroe, Noble, Harrison and Jefferson counties, as well as a portion of Guernsey County.
