American Legion to host Buckeye Girls State Delegates District 11

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — American Legion Auxiliary District 11 is holding Buckeye Girls State orientation on Saturday, March 29, at American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville.

District 11 consists of the following counties: Belmont, Guernsey, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble and Washington.

The Buckeye Girls State program is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary in Ohio. This annual event brings together young women who, in their junior year of high school, participate in a week-long simulation of government and civic engagement. The program is designed to educate participants about the democratic process and instill a sense of civic responsibility. By participating in this program, girls are empowered to take active roles in their communities and beyond, fostering a generation of informed and engaged leaders.
