Those in need will be able to receive food Saturday to fill their bodies and raise their spirits on Easter Sunday at the North Wheeling Dream Center.

The Bethlehem Apostolic Temple will hold its annual Easter food basket giveaway starting at 11 a.m. at the Dream Center. There, people can receive food like traditional Easter main dishes and side dishes. Hygiene products also will be available.

The giveaway, an Easter season staple in the Ohio Valley for more than three decades, helps between 500 and 1,000 people each year, said Bishop Darrell Cummings, lead pastor of Bethlehem Apostolic Temple.

Those wanting to take part in the giveaway can do so in the Dream Center basement. Supplies are first-come, first-served. Volunteers from multiple first responder and civic groups will be on hand to help.
