New partnership formed to empower Ohio disability services organizations

THREE OF Ohio’s leading providers of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have joined forces to create the Ohio Provider Management Services Organization LLC.

ARC Industries has been dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities for over 60 years in Ohio and provides services in workforce readiness training, employment placement, adult day services, non-medical transportation and behavioral health. Founded as a camping program in 1967, today Echoing Hills is a statewide Christian ministry serving children and adults with disabilities through residential, educational, recreational and adult services. Hattie Larlham is a provider of disability services, supporting children and adults with disabilities throughout Ohio with residential, medical, recreational, educational and employment services. Collectively, ARC Industries, Echoing Hills, and Hattie Larlham represent $164 million in revenue services to over 3,600 people in the Ohio Department of Disability Services.

The formation of the MSO will help lower costs and support efficient operations for all three member organizations by leveraging the strength of the partnership and buying power for necessary supplies, equipment and third-party services. The MSO will facilitate the negotiation of prices and contracts with local and regional vendors for all member organizations, ensuring that resources are used effectively to best benefit the organizations and the individuals served.

Strong leadership and shared values were key factors in making this collaboration possible. The Ohio Provider MSO is a groundbreaking step in demonstrating how collaboration and innovation can improve services while maintaining a commitment to excellence within the intellectual and developmental disabilities service field.
