At 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from Columbus reported that his child’s mother had met him at the boat ramps at Bellaire Harbor, and he gave her permission to drive his vehicle to the store but she never returned. The caller wished to pursue charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle against the female and requested a welfare check on the child. The female in question took the car back to Murry, Kentucky, according to the report. A be-on-the-lookout report was issued and was also given to authorities in Kentucky for the vehicle, the female and the child.

At 11:48 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address on Pipe Creek Road in Jacobsburg. A 911 call was received with an open line indicating a verbal domestic, the report indicated. Information was taken for a report.

At 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Sloans Run Road in St. Clairsville reported hearing banging and seeing a light shining in the window. Units responded. The house was secure, the report stated. The complainant requested extra patrols.

At 10:41 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that a bag of marijuana was found in a booth at Longhorn Steakhouse on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville. An officer responded, and the item was secured, according to the report.

At 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop at the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road reported that individuals “threw dope on them,” according to the report. A brown, powdery substance was found on one of the individuals. Charges were pending on the driver.

At 3:36 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 call with an open line was received from an address on Barnesville-Waterworks Road in Barnesville. Someone who sounded like a young female stated she did not mean to call, and the line disconnected, according to the report. An officer spoke with the parents. Nothing was found at this location, the report stated.

At 2:52 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported there was a male inside a vehicle near Verizon Wireless on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville. The caller was not sure if he was sleeping or what he was doing. According to the report, this was an overdose with two patients. One male was detained. Zanesville police were contacted about a warrant.

At 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 213 in St. Clairsville issued a verbal warning for improper display.

At 2:21 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Atkinson Road in St. Clairsville reported that there was a black Labrador with a collar running loose. An officer spoke to a homeowner, who did not own a dog. The dog reportedly ran into the woods toward the house and may live on Country Lake Drive, according to the report. The animal shelter was contacted.

At 1:58 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to a call about a cow in the road on Hunter Road in Bethesda. The caller was trying to get it back inside the fence.
