Thursday, April 17
12:11 a.m. – Officers responded to the 600 block of Belmont Avenue to do a building check. Dispatch received a call from a male stating his house is vacant, but it appears someone has been living there. Officers will do extra patrols.
12:20 a.m. – Officers responded to the 600 Block of Broadway St to do a walk-through of a residence. Dispatch received a call from the homeowner stating someone was attempting to break into the residence. Officers had negative contact with anyone, however advised the homeowner that extra patrols will be done.
1:23 a.m. – Officers were out with a group of individuals in the city park. The individuals were advised that all parks close at dark. The group of individuals left.
5:56 a.m. – A male came on station regarding a previous call. The male was given a statement form to fill out. The statement form was left for an officer to follow up.
9:07 a.m. – Officers responded to the 100 block of Hanover Street for a hit and run with no injuries. Officers obtained all the information needed for a report. Officers cleared.
1:18 p.m. – A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding someone being on his property. Officers spoke with male and advised him of what to do.
2:57 p.m. – A male came on station to get his vehicle out of the impound lot.
4:56 p.m. – Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries on Ohio 7 near Hanover Street. All the information was taken for a report. Officers cleared.
5:14 p.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on the 300 block of Hanover Street. The driver was identified as a male. The driver was issued a warning for driving habits.
6:08 p.m. – Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident with no injuries on the 100 block of South Third Street. All the information was taken for a report. Officers cleared.
6:23 p.m. – Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Zane Highway for a welfare check. Officers made contact with the individual; everything was fine.
7:14 p.m. – Officers responded to the 400 block of North Fifth Street for a verbal altercation. Officers determined everyone had left prior to their arrival. Officers cleared.
11:53 p.m. – Officers responded to a call regarding a powerline down in the 800 block of Delaware Street. Martins Ferry Fire Department assisted the police department. AEP was contacted.

DEPARTMENT
At 8:46 p.m. Monday, a sergeant assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol in attempting to locate a female who reportedly was in need of a well check at Egypt North Road in Kirkwood Township. The officer did not locate her.
At 11:47 p.m. Monday, a caller on Arman Hill Road in Powhatan Point reported a theft from a scam. Information was taken for a report.
At 8:36 p.m. Monday, a deputy was out with a disabled vehicle on Provident-Fairpoint Road in St. Clairsville. The Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded.
