Ohio Hills to host ribbon cutting for dental office
BARNESVILLE — Ohio Hills Health Centers will host a ribbon cutting and open house for its new dental center from 2-4 p.m. Friday.
OHHC-Barnesville Dental is located at 101 E. Main Street in Barnesville. Those who wish to attend must RSVP.
Ohio Hills Health Centers is a nonprofit health care operation, located in communities in Eastern Ohio to promote healthy lifestyles and to provide comprehensive treatment and preventive services for area residents.
The organization has been serving residents of the Ohio Valley since 1976. Ohio Hills Health Centers provide residents of Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, Monroe and Noble counties with comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services.
“Ohio Hills Health Centers is extremely pleased to open our new dental office in Barnesville. The new facility aligns with our mission of making health, dental and behavioral health care affordable and accessible for all area residents. The new Barnesville Dental Center will allow us to accommodate additional dental patients due to increased space and the addition of the latest technology,” Jeff Britton, CEO of OHHC, said.
“We are extremely grateful to the community, the USDA, our elected officials and area foundations for the support we have received to make the dental center a reality. This is a project that will provide tremendous benefits to area residents, particularly those who have difficulty accessing dental care. I encourage everyone to stop out and tour the new facility,” Jan Chambers, OHHC director of Outreach and Development, said.
Dr. Robert Brewer will be the primary dentist at the new facility. Brewer is a graduate of Ohio State University’s College of Dentistry and has almost 30 years of experience as a dentist.
The new dental facility will replace the current Barnesville dental location beginning in July. To schedule an appointment, call 740-239-6447.
The dental center was funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
The ribbon cutting and open house will be open to the public. For more information about the ribbon cutting or to RSVP, call 740-425-5167 or email jchambers@ohiohillshealth.org.
