MARTINS FERRY — Martins Ferry Alert Engine Company 1 will host its 28th annual Fall Hunting Drawing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Redman Park.

The event will feature games, drawings and free food.

Four prizes will be $500 cash, and one winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Tickets for the event cost $30 per person for ages 13 and up, and tickets cost $10 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets are available for sale at Ferry Hardware and Hanover Fuel Stop in Martins Ferry. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate.

Anyone who wins a gun must claim it within 30 days or it will become the property of Martins Ferry Alert Engine Company 1. Cash prizes must be claimed within 30 minutes of the drawing to receive the full amount. Winners will only get one-half of the amount if they claim their cash prize after 30 minutes.

Guns can be picked up at Sportsman Trading Post located at 200 Springdale Avenue in Wintersville. The business can be contacted at 740-266-6763.

Redman Park is located at 57129 Glenns Run Road/County Road 4 in Martins Ferry.

If the gun on the ticket is not available, a gun of equal value will be given out. More guns will be available on strip tickets on the day of the drawing.

All Federal Firearms License rules will apply. Guns will be given with the approval of the Federal Government’s National Instant Background Check system.

Those who wish to enter the raffle must write their name, address and phone number on each ticket. The address cannot be a post office box.
