Motorcyclist in critical condition
COLERAIN — An accident on U.S. 250 in Colerain ON Monday evening left 24-year-old motorcyclist Alexander Timko in critical condition.
Timko, who was wearing a helmet, collided with a vehicle operated by 27-year-old Brice Frakowski around 5:20 p.m. after Timko was passing several drivers, according to witnesses.
When Frakowski slowed down to make a left hand turn in his Toyota RAV 4, Timko struck him from behind, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Brian McFarland.
Timko, a St. Clairsville resident, was airlifted to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with critical injuries. He was still in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon, McFarland said. Frakowski and his passenger did not sustain any injuries.
The Colerain Fire Department and STAT MedEvac also responded.
