Multiple Fire Departments battle blaze
COLERAIN — No one was injured Thursday evening after multiple fire departments batted a large house fire on Farmington Road in Colerain.
Colerain Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Aaron Peterson said his department was the first to respond at around 5:30 p.m. and was met with heavy fire in the front of the house. Yet, due to help from several local fire departments, the group was able to get the fire under control in about 40 minutes.
Barton Volunteer Fire Department, Brookside Volunteer Fire Department, Wolfhurst Fire Department and Sunset Heights Volunteer Fire Department all fought the fire.
Peterson said that the Ohio State Fire Marshal has been called to determine the cause of the start of the fire.
“They’ll make that assessment once they’re able to come down and take a look at things,” Peterson said.
Peterson said he was not able to confirm if anyone lived in the house.
