Man arrested in Strussion double homicide

Andrew Isaac Griffin
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Belmont County Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan confirmed Thursday that Andrew Isaac Griffin was arrested in another jurisdiction on two counts of aggravated murder for the double homicide of Thomas and Angela Strussion.
The Strussions were found dead inside their home on Trails End Drive, Belmont, after a structure fire was reported there early on Sept. 21, 2021. Days later, former Belmont County Sheriff David Lucas announced that their deaths were the result of a double homicide.
Thomas Strussion and Andrew Griffin were business partners at the Elm Grove location of the Salsa Joe’s restaurant.
In June 2023, Griffin was deemed a missing person by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma.
According to KOTV News 6 in Tusla, Oklahoma, Griffin was arrested in a Houston, Texas, airport while de-boarding a plane from Honduras in 2023. At that time he was charged with kidnapping and domestic violence.
Efforts to reach Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack for additional information were unsuccessful.
