Blaine Bridge preparation work beginning

Starting next week, Ohio Department of Transportation crews will conduct preliminary work on the Blaine Bridge to meet necessary environmental requirements before starting construction. This work will involve access both from under the bridge and from the bridge deck. A contractor will conduct tree-cutting work in the project area throughout March. The project will replace the superstructure and maintain the bridge’s historical character. Michael Baker International is the firm designing it, and the project is set to sell in April 2025, with construction starting in May and completion expected in 2026.
