DAYTON, Ohio — The Monroe Central Seminoles are state champions.

The boys’ basketball team captured the Ohio Division VI state title Saturday afternoon when they faced off against Marion Local inside the University of Dayton Arena. Monroe claimed a 43-35 victory.

The Marion Flyers already had three state titles on the hardwood, but the Seminoles saw success while seeking their first.
