EORH Has Power Shut Off

Power was shut off at East Ohio Regional Hospital and the connected medical offices building, according to employees.
AEP has turned the power back on for 24 hours, said Dr. Alfred Dunn – who has still been practicing on site since EORH’s closure – but healthcare providers who are still on site are once again left in the lurch. Some are scrambling to move their office materials out of the building before the power is shut off again on Wednesday morning.
Dunn said he discovered that the hospital was running on emergency generator power when he came in at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. He said he heard about the shut off from hospital administration.
Dunn said he has appointments with patients on his schedule tomorrow which he will no longer be able to see.
“We will have to manage the best we can, hoping that our computers continue to work and that our electronic medical records continue to work,” Dunn said.
