MICHAEL TURNER

Michael Lee Turner, 76, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born February 12, 1946, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, a son of the late Robert Lee Turner and Viola Belle (O’Neal) Turner.

Michael was a retired Chief Electrician for AEP and Windsor Coal. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served in the 794th Communications Squadron, Maintenance Company during the Vietnam War where he earned the Bronze Star for his meritorious courageous actions. The top priorities in his life were his family and his work, and he had an unbelievable gift for drawing, creating, building and repairing things.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Glenna Jean Turner, and a niece Christy Hudnall.

Surviving are his children, Betsy J. Turner of Baltimore, MD, Robin (Bob) Evans of Martins Ferry, OH, and Michael Douglas (Cathy) Turner of Columbus, OH; two grandchildren, Gracie Lynn Evans, and Olin Michael Turner; a brother, Charles Robert “CR” (Helen) Turner; a sister, Patricia Frazier; a nephew, Charles Dean Turner; and a niece, Rebecca Lorenz.

Private family graveside service will be held with Wayne Clark officiating at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, West Virginia with Full Military Honors conducted by the Moundsville Honor Guard.
