BRENDA WILSON

Born November 13, 1963, in Barnesville, Belmont County, Ohio; she was a daughter of the late Ralph Waldo Nester and Merle Elaine Hickenbottom Nester.

She was graduate of Union Local High School, Class of 1982.

She was part owner of Team-One Cleaning in Lansing for twenty years, then she delivered The Times Leader newspaper for the Harrison and Belmont County area. Five years ago, she started delivering mail for the United States Post Office as a sub and recently got her own route in the Flushing area. She was known as the “paper lady” then the “mail lady.”

She enjoyed flower gardening, fishing and boating at Salt Fork Lake, feeding the birds, loved eating plain M&Ms, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is her husband of 24 years, Robert Alan Wilson. They were married April 14, 2000. Also surviving are two daughters: Tracia Dunfee of Hopedale and Menda (Marvin) Wilson of Weirton; two sisters: Debbie (Mark “Meatball”) Barto of Holloway and Diane (Jeremy) Saffell of Flushing; four grandchildren: Braylee Dunfee, Trae Dunfee, Jayda Anderson, and Jacoba Anderson; several nieces and nephews: Tristan Bruce, Linsey Saffell, Amanda (Tommy) Spano, Alaina Barto, Gino Spano, Eleanor Beaver, and Velma Beaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her older sister, Carma Sue Nester in 2015.

Following Brenda’s wishes she was cremated. A memorial service will be held by the family later. Koch Funeral Home of Freeport was entrusted with her cremation arrangements. Online condolences may be made on their website at kochfuneral home.net
