WALT BOBER

He was born April 1, 1942, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Walter Charles and Amelia Mildred (Kryszczak) Bober. Walt was a 1960 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School where he was a standout basketball player for the Maroon Knights. After attending Wheeling Jesuit College and West Liberty College, he spent over 30 years working for C&P Telephone Company/Bell Atlantic as a billing manager. After retiring from the telephone company, he worked for Federal Express and Whiteside Chevrolet.

Walt was happiest when he was with his family. He also enjoyed going to Central football and basketball games, watching the Pirates and Steelers, and playing cards. Walt is survived by his loving wife, Janie (Christ) Bober, whom he married on January 30, 1965; children Michael Bober (Tara), Patrick Bober (Tracie), and Jennifer Sickels (Chad); grandchildren Griffin, Cullen, Trent, Cameron, and Drew; and sisters Carol Powell (Stan), and Kathy Front (Ron).
