ELLEN OBOY

She was born January 19, 1938 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Hilda M. Vaglienti.

Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. A 1955 graduate of Bellaire High School, Ellen, was a homemaker and Library Aide for St. John Elementary School. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Parish in Bellaire where she was involved in Bible Study, offering auditor, and worked in the cafeteria. She was also a member of the PNA Lodge 455 in Maynard.

In Addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Oboy; two sisters, Joan Blanton and Carol Wodarcyk; brothers- in-law, Bruce Ruckman and Pete Wodarcyk.

Ellen is survived by her three sons, Mark (Vicky) Oboy, David (Michelle) Oboy and Scott (Gayle) Oboy; a sister, Jane Ruckman; two brothers, Al (Char) Vaglienti and Robert (Theresa) Vaglienti; five grandchildren, Zachary Oboy, Lydia Oboy, Sarah Oboy, Matthew Oboy and Tyler Oboy; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m. followed by a PNA Service.

Visitation will be held again at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m., with Father Daniel Heusel as the Celebrant. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
