JOSEPH ROSET

He was born October 23, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Theda Taylor Roset.

He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water in his bass boat; enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR racing on TV, was a super fan of Ohio State Football, and truly enjoyed talking and joking with everyone he came in contact with.

Joe was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized on January 13, 2019. He had a giving heart and helped anyone who needed help. He was a loyal contributor to several charitable organizations and Christian entities such as, 700 Club and Trinity Broadcasting Network, and several churches in the area. He was a devout Christian and he lived by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Thelma Compston Roset; a son, Edward Ray Roset; a grandson, Timothy Lee Roset; and a brother, Andy Roset.

Survivors include a son, Ronald (Debbie) Roset of Moundville, AL; a granddaughter, Stacey (Thomas) Piatt of Lewisville, OH; a great-grandson, Tristan Piatt of Lewisville; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Piatt of Lewisville; a brother, Jim (Carol) Roset; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

There will be no visitation. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00pm at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery, Rayland, OH with Pastor Joe Hise officiating.
